KPMG Centre

2009 | Makati City

This 8,541 square meter office building is not only a “face-lift” renovation but an attempt to actively take measures to reduce the building's carbon emissions and to decrease the amount of energy used for building operation. Being one of the country's architectural landmarks in the 1970's, preservation of its iconic and classically proportionate architectural components was achieved while still being able to infuse modern “green” elements. These elements include an energy-efficient choreographed LED facade display, a “double wall” feature comprised of a pattern of reflective glass and perforated metal panels which enables the building to “breathe” and a rain water collecting system.
